Our trained, volunteer mentors offer their influence and resources as role models, motivators and decision makers to help you:

• Identify career and education options
• Develop a career plan, academic plan and strategy by identifying educational and training requirements and opportunities
• Understand what employers are looking for when they hire graduates
• Link academic studies to industry realities
• Learn about your chosen industry from the inside, and gain exposure to current practices and trends
• Build personal and professional networks
• Develop the practical skills and confidence to enter your chosen profession and succeed
• Participate in career exploration activities, including career interest assessment, attend job and career fairs, possible job shadowing, workplace visits, internships
• Assist with exposure to other career related opportunities
• Provide assistance with job searches; including preparing resumes and writing a cover letter, developing a portfolio and practicing mock interviews and techniques
• Improve your communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills
• Learn the fundamentals of business etiquette and how to interact with coworkers and bosses
• Learn how to determine, identify and analyze personal risk factors and tolerance
